About Our Hotel

The Clyde Hotel was established in 1870. Additions were made in 1884, 1885 and 1912. The 1885 and 1912 additions are what constitutes the present structure. The present owners purchased the building in 1968, demolished the 1870 structure and remodeled the downstairs of the 1912 addition for their living area. Then renovation of the "hotel rooms" in the 1885 and 1912 additions began. Rooms were made larger with the addition of a bathroom in each room. As much as possible, the old woodwork was preserved and artifacts from the original structure were incorporated into the decor.
